This Havana transplant is all about Cuban food with hearty meat and bean specials changing daily since 1976.
Rincon Criollo is more than just an authentic Cuban restaurant—the original Rincon Criollo was actually a massive, family-owned restaurant in Cuba. Several of the original owners emigrated to the United States and opened up this Corona mainstay, which is renowned for its Cuban cuisine classics like ropa vieja and fried sweet plantains.
Authentic Cuban Food
The Rincon Criollo Restaurant is a family business that dates back to the early 1950’s, when the Acosta Brothers opened a restaurant in Santiago de Las Vegas, a small town in Havana just North of the old airport. Rincon Criollo became a favorite destination of celebrities and dignitaries due to its vibrant ambiance, great service and tasty Cuban food that was second to none.
In 1949, the Acosta brothers were offered an opportunity to purchase a small restaurant in Santiago de Las Vegas. With all of their hard-earned savings, they were able to start their first restaurant.
