OUR DELICIOUS STORY

Capri Bakery & Restaurant, a family-owned Cuban restaurant in West Palm Beach, is known for its authentic Cuban food. The restaurant has become a favorite hub of Cuban flavors in the region, offering quality cuisine for the past couple of decades. This Cuban restaurant is well-known for its savory desserts, its Cuban coffee, roast pork, empanadas, bread, Cuban cappuccino cakes, Cuban sandwiches, and cafe con leche or a Full Cuban Roasted Pig are just some of the treats we offer to our customers.

The Capri Family

Our method in the kitchen, cleanliness, and flavor came all the way from Cuba with the Alfonso family, when we came to this great country in 1980, via Mariel.

Our first intent to establish this type of business was in 1983 at 3701 Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, Florida. At that time we formed a partnership with another Cuban family, which went well, but in 1985 our contract expired and couldn’t be extended so the business had to close.

Then in 1986, we established this business, today is known as Capri Bakery Restaurant.

The Alfonso family who consists of Jorge, Zeida, Vivian Lourdes, and Jorge Rafael, established the J. Alfonso Corporation, an independent entity.

This great step was determined by the cooperation, both moral and economic of many friends who gave their selfless assistance in various forms. We also counted on the support of local banks, churches, newspapers, radio, local business owners, and the general public.

We have had a long journey of sacrifices and achievements, after that historic day February 13, 1986, when Capri opened its doors for the first time.

We offer our food catering services, we make deliveries for weddings, birthdays and social occasions.

Our pastries, our café con leche, wake up West Palm Beach every morning of the year for the last 31 years. There is always an Alfonso family member ready to serve you.
